나나와 펠릭스는 2013년부터 꾸준히 활동해 온 한국-핀란드 국적의 아티스트 듀오이다. 그들은 시각예술의
다양한 매체를 가지고, 두 작가가 속한 사회문화적 환경을 풍자, 역설, 모순의 방식을 통해 새로운 형식의 풍

경으로 재해석하여 묘사한다. 작업 과정에서 그들은 기록과 수집된 매체를 이용하기도 하고, 예술사에서 잘
알려진 개념들과 전통 문화 및 상업 이미지들을 적극적으로 활용 및 차용하는데, 그들의 주된 관심사는 경제

발전의 미학, 사회-문화적 정체성 및 세계화의 개념들을 탐색하고 도발하는데 있다.

나나와 펠릭스 두 작가 모두 핀란드 알토대학원 예술사진학과를 졸업했고, 핀란드 석사 이전엔, 나나(김환

희) 작가는 영국 런던 첼시대학교에서 회화과를, 동대학원에서 미술학과를 마쳤으며, 펠릭스 뉘베리 작가

는 스페인 바르셀로나 IDEP 대학교에서 사진학 및 시각커뮤니케이션과를 나왔다. 한국에 기반을 두고 작

업 활동을 하고 있는 나나와 펠릭스는 최근 핀란드 요엔수 미술관에서 열린 미따 현대미술 비엔날레(2023)

를 비롯한 다수의 그룹전 및 포스코미술관(서울, 2022), 청주시립대청호미술관(청주, 2021), 아인부흐하

우스(독일 베를린, 2021), 갈레리아H2O(스페인 바르셀로나, 2017), 힙뽈리떼사진갤러리(핀란드 헬싱키,

2014) 등 유럽과 한국의 여러 기관과 갤러리에서 다수의 개인전을 통해 다양한 작업들을 선보여왔다. 아티

스트 듀오는 2021년 포스코미술관 신진작가상에서 대상을 수상했고, 현재 양주시립창작스튜디오에서 입주

작가로 활동 중이다.

Nana & Felix is a Korean-Finnish artist duo working together since 2013. In their works they

observe, document and explore the human-made, cultural landscape. Working in various

mediums, they actively borrow and appropriate traditional, cultural, art-historical and/or

commercial imagery, and through a mix of satire and contradiction rework their surroundings

into new, interpreted landscapes.

Nana (Hwanhee Kim) graduated with BA and MA in Fine-art at Chelsea College of Art & Design

(London). Felix Nybergh holds a BA in Photography from IDEP-Abat Oliba CEU (Barcelona).

Both artists graduated with MA in Fine-art Photography at Aalto University (Helsinki) where

they began working together as an artist duo. Nana & Felix´s works have been shown at various

galleries and museums, including Mitä Contemporary Art Biennale at Joensuu Art Museum (2023,

Joensuu, Finland), Posco Art Museum (2022, Seoul, South Korea), Daecheongho Art Museum

(2021, Cheongju, South Korea), einBuch.haus (2021, Berlin, Germany), Galería H2O (2017,

Barcelona, Spain) and Photographic Gallery Hippolyte (2014, Helsinki, Finland). In 2021 the

duo was awarded the Posco Art Museum Emerging Artist Prize (Seoul), and they are currently

working as resident artists at Yangju Art Studio in South Korea.
