본 작품은 길거리에 버려진 액자들로 구성된 총 300여점으로 이루어진 설치 작품으로서, 지난 여러 해에 걸

쳐 한국의 여러 도시의 뒷골목을 돌며 찍은 스냅샷 형식의 사진들과 길거리에 폐기된 액자들을 수집해서 만

들어졌다. 이는 놀라운 속도로 개발되고 변화하는 도시 속에 살고 있는 수백만의 삶이 남기는 흔적과 잔해를

기록하면서, 다채롭고도 혼란스러운 환경을 밤마다 염탐해 본 결과이다. 이 작품의 제목은 가족의 갑작스런

죽음과 그 죽음이 가져온 경제적 몰락, 위기의 피난처로 종교에 빠져든 가정의 혼란 속에서, 일종의 살아남

기 위한 여가활동으로서의 밤산책과 사진찍기를 병행한 데에서 나왔다.

This work consists of a total of 300 frames collected off the streets in various cities in Korea.

Collected during long night-walks, these pictures and found frames depict a landscape that exists

in the shadow skyscrapers, super-developed highways and promises of a high-tech-smart-city

urban life. They both document and embody the debris of a city that develops and changes at

such pace that the only thing that seems to have value anymore is development itself, The title

of the work refers to how the project began, as a recurring nightly escape, a way of dealing with

the death of the head of the family, the ensuing bankruptcy, loss of all of the family's assets an

eviction from the family home.
