The title of this exhibition, "Here, We Meet," was inspired by John Berger's work, "Here is Where We

Meet.”In this work, John Berger brings to the present the characters of the past who have been associated
with each place, and shares the experiences of the place together. I was able to share my personal
experiences with John Berger as I read this piece, which is carried out by projecting the extremely private
and secret experiences and memories of an individual to a particular place. Listening to his conversation
with his dead mother in Lisbon, I could think of the roasting chestnuts I tasted in Lisbon Square and the

ecstatic taste of 'Arroz de marisco' I tasted in a restaurant that I accidentally entered. On the other hand,
I wanted to share to John Berger my happy experience of enjoying beer and free tapas at a bar in Madrid,
and my impression of a lively Krakow excited by Pope Francis' visit, not the gloomy Krakow he felt.

Frankly, we may want to keep our own experiences private, but we may also have a desire to share them
with others. When the experience of sleeping secretly in an individual is shared with others, it will be
socially changed and have vitality, combining with other people's experiences. So that is the reason of
       taking photos.
I took the name of the exhibition from the title of his work to express my gratitude to John Berger for

bringing life to my personal experience by sharing his experience with me. However, the reason why
"Where" was excluded from the original title was to clarify that the interest of my work was not "Place."
I've been working on life so far. This exhibition is also planned with this extension. I've been trying to

capture my own "life" in my work, not the common and boring retort of "protecting the environment and
animals."The 'life' that appears in my work is the 'life' that I've faced so far. I hope that my 'Experience'
and your 'Erlebnis' will be with you, recalling the memories of the "life" you personally met while you
       were facing my work.

Now, I'm going to end by quoting the coda of John Berger's work.

Just write down what you find.

I’ll never know what I’ve found.
No, you’ll never know. All you have to know is whether you’re lying or whether you’re trying to tell the
truth, you can’t affford to make a mistake about that distinction any longer …
